This graphic novel which I wrote and designed was inspired by Frank Miller's comic, "Sin City." His approach to drawing was appropriate in telling the story about a Slovak-Jewish prisoner who was the first to escape Auschwitz, a deadly and horrific concentration camp. The black and white drawings help portray the death, despair and many difficult situations that are told in this story. The splash of color sets the tone and mood in different situations throughout the novel.
